Idina Menzel is an American actress of stage, film, and television. She rose to prominence for playing Maureen Johnson in the Broadway production of Rent.

She also originated the role of Elphaba in Wicked and later had a cameo in the motion picture adaptation.[1][2][3]

Apart from musical theatre, Menzel has appeared in motion pictures and television shows.

She reprised her role as Johnson in the film adaptation of Rent,[4] and played Nancy Tremaine in Enchanted ().[5][6] From to , she played Shelby Corcoran on the Fox musical series Glee.[7]

Menzel gained further recognition for voicing Elsa in the Frozen franchise (–present) and in Ralph Breaks the Internet ().

In , she returned to Broadway, playing Elizabeth Vaughan in the musical If/Then.[8][9] She reprised her role as Nancy Tremaine in Disenchanted (),[10][11] and played supporting roles in Uncut Gems (),[12]Cinderella (),[13] and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah ().[14]
